The Clients: Family of four, plus two dogs and one cat.
The Project: A custom design-and-build, high-bank waterfront home.
The Task: Design a coastal family home which balances the bucolic landscape with the oceanfront. Incorporate timeless finishes with the clients’ antique pieces and unique artwork. Maximise natural light to mitigate the grey and rainy winter season. Embrace and feature the stunning views of Maple Bay. Incorporate pops of colour to complement a light and airy space.
Scope: Full interior design from floor and lighting plans at architectural planning phase to completion. Selection of all interior and exterior finishes as well as FF&E. Design an exterior deck and railing systems that blends with the natural surroundings and embraces the high-bank waterfront location.
Budget: >$1,100,000.00 for the total build
Timeline: 14 months

The Clients: Family of four–she’s an artist; he works for a multi-national tech company; young daughter and pre-school-aged son.
The Project: A major renovation of and addition to an existing farmhouse located on an acreage on Vancouver Island, surrounded by rolling hills and pastures.
The Task: Create a home that is sophisticated yet relaxed; warm and inviting. Incorporate a balance of soft and vibrant colours, the clients’ existing and cherished furniture pieces, and achieve an eclectic style with a mix of modern country and mid-century luxury. Maximise natural light and emphasise surrounding scenery. Design a modern farmhouse which cultivates contentment and creativity.
Scope: Kitchen, bathroom and built-in design, materials and finishings selection, lighting plan, FF&E, exterior materials, and finishing.
Budget: >$500,000.00
Timeline: 9 months
